About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and efficient individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Walkers Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Food Preparation and Handling
    • Prepare and package take-out food.
    • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
  • Kitchen Maintenance
    • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
    • Handle and store cleaning products.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve kitchen goals.
    • Communicate efficiently with colleagues and management to ensure seamless service.
