CSN Collision East Mountain is a leading provider of auto body repairs and collision services in Hamilton. We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch quality and exceptional customer service to our clients.
We are currently seeking a Shop Foreperson to oversee the smooth operation of our collision repair process. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities across all departments to ensure timely and high-quality repairs.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the repair process from intake to delivery, ensuring adherence to established timelines and quality standards.
- Maintain a sense of urgency to meet completion targets, adjusting priorities as necessary to optimize technician efficiency.
- Assign tasks to technicians and track progress to ensure all necessary resources are available for repairs.
- Collaborate with technical staff, parts department, and administrative staff to streamline the flow of repairs and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as touch time and cycle time, implementing process improvements as needed to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct production meetings with technical staff to set expectations and provide guidance on repair procedures.
- Prioritize repairs based on urgency and shop targets, adjusting schedules accordingly to meet customer needs.
- Assist with supplements and ensure adherence to OEM procedures for all repairs.
- Communicate effectively with front-end staff to provide updates on repair progress and address any delays.
- Facilitate collaboration between estimators and technical staff to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and maintain shop cleanliness to promote a safe working environment.
- Oversee quality control measures throughout the repair process to ensure high-quality repairs.
- 2-3 years of experience in the automotive and/or collision repair industry.
- Valid G Driver's License.
- Knowledgeable in various insurance DRP practices and guidelines.
- Experience with advanced repair planning systems is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Clear and empathetic communication style.
- Collaborative approach to relationship management.
- Effective conflict resolution skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
