We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreperson to oversee the smooth operation of our collision repair process. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities across all departments to ensure timely and high-quality repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair Process Coordination: Coordinate the repair process from intake to delivery, ensuring adherence to established timelines and maintaining a focus on efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Technician Management: Optimize technician efficiency by assigning tasks appropriately and tracking progress, ensuring all necessary resources are available for technicians to proceed with repairs.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with technical staff, parts department, and administrative staff to streamline the flow of repairs and eliminate bottlenecks, ensuring effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Quality Control: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as touch time and cycle time, implementing process improvements as needed, and overseeing quality control measures throughout the repair process.
  • Leadership and Development: Conduct production meetings with technical staff to set expectations and provide guidance, identify opportunities for advanced repair planning to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction, and facilitate collaboration between estimators and technical staff to improve estimating accuracy.
Requirements
  • Experience and Knowledge: 2-3 years of experience in the automotive and/or collision repair industry, with a thorough understanding of the repair process in a collision shop, knowledge of OEM procedures and industry best practices, and familiarity with health and safety guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Mitchell Connect and Audatex software is an asset, and experience with advanced repair planning systems is also desirable.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong organizational and time management skills, clear and empathetic communication style, collaborative approach to relationship management, effective conflict resolution skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and self-motivation and ability to work independently.
