We are hiring a Fleet Technician based in our Burnaby Depot location.

As a Fleet Technician, you'll often be the first person our Members see when they need help. You'll provide friendly and professional roadside mechanical assistance or towing services to members of BCAA and affiliated clubs.

What you'll do

  1. Respond to Member requests for roadside assistance, including mechanical repairs, battery boosts, tire changes, lockout services, and towing;
  2. Conduct detailed diagnostic assessments to identify vehicle issues and resolve appropriate solutions;
  3. Perform automotive repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion;
  4. Assist in all weather conditions, ensuring a positive Member experience throughout the assistance process;
  5. Report any issues and take the initiative to resolve them, seeking support as needed;
  6. Uphold BCAA service and safety standards by ensuring BCAA vehicles, equipment, and tools are kept clean, orderly, and in good working condition.

What you've done

  • Completed your high school diploma, preferably with your Red Seal Certification;
  • You have at least 5 years of hands-on automotive repair and diagnostics experience;
  • You're a good driver with a clean BC Driver License Class 5; you're confident navigating our cities and towns while driving any size vehicle – including 5-ton trucks, tow trucks, and pickup trucks;
  • Capable of lifting at least 70lbs during Member service while prioritizing safety throughout the process.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
