Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Designer to join our team at Dana Incorporated. As an Application Designer, you will play a critical role in supporting customers in their vehicle development, focusing on transportation electrification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage engineering projects, requirements, and test plans involving modifications to existing products, including software, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Customer Support: Assist clients and external teams in developing vehicle software for various applications, such as all-electric or hybrid vehicle control, multi-speed transmission, and generator systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and perform vehicle performance simulations, and improve internal simulation tools and diagnostic tools used.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, make technical presentations at all levels of the client's organization, and actively participate in proposing and carrying out innovation activities to improve our products.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's/Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, or Software Engineering.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of relevant experience in software development and systems engineering or similar.
  • Skills: Good knowledge of electrodynamic systems, software and control systems, Matlab Simulink, C/C++, Python (asset), CAN data buses, customer service-oriented, investigative and diagnostic skills, strong interest in teamwork, and bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).
