Culinary Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Culinary Supervisor to lead our kitchen team at Northern Cafe. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
About the Role:This is a permanent position working 30-36 hours per week. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cooking and supervising teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to menu development and kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:- Determine food portion sizes and costs to maintain profitability
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas to meet health and safety standards
- Support staff development and provide feedback to improve performance
- Proven experience as a cook or supervisor in a commercial kitchen environment
- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently
- High school graduation certificate required; post-secondary education preferred
The estimated salary for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as access to professional development opportunities.
