Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safety leadership and implement the Bird Safety Program to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Plan, schedule, and control project activities to meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Supervise and develop project team members through regular feedback, training, and coaching.
  • Manage project budgets and billings, ensuring timely payment of accounts receivable and payable.
  • Administer and manage prime contracts and subcontracts, including negotiation and awarding of subcontracts.
  • Review and analyze costs to identify revenue opportunities and provide monthly and quarterly reports to senior management.
  • Foster positive relationships and communication with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
  • Completed education in a construction-related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in general contracting, with direct project management of large institutional, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • Experience in digital construction is an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative approach to delivering results and developing team members.
  • Service-oriented, with the ability to build and steward trust with a broad network of professional colleagues, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Demonstrated competence in safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality, and administration.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office, including MS Project, and experience with Viewpoint Project Management system is considered an asset.
