At BGIS, we are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Lead to join our team. As a key member of our HSE team, you will be responsible for developing, leading, and executing health, safety, and environment programs for assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute health, safety, and environment programs to promote a high health, safety, and environment culture for assigned accounts.
  • Provide guidance and advice to account and client team members on health, safety, and environment matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable internal and external requirements.
  • Collaborate with account teams to ensure team members have adequate tools and resources to execute work safely.
  • Conduct field inspections, job observations, health, safety, and environment audits, and other reviews to monitor compliance and identify risks.
  • Communicate observations, non-compliance, and risks to stakeholders, and implement corrective and preventative measures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Requirements:
  • College degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Sciences.
  • 3-5 years of health, safety, and environment program execution work experience.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environment regulatory requirements and management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, CSA Z1000, OHSAS 18001, etc.).
  • Strong program development and execution abilities, with a focus on promoting health, safety, and environment programs and influencing stakeholders to achieve objectives.
  • Bilingual French/English required, depending on the account.
