Job Title: Computer Network Technician

Gwireless Technologies Inc. is seeking a skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to maintain, troubleshoot, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network systems, including LANs, WANs, and mainframe networks
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures and maintain control records
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and will be required to perform repetitive tasks. The individual must have excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.

Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
