About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, as part of our public and private sector clients' psychological assessment services for candidate selection.

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will conduct comprehensive assessments for Correctional Service Canada (CSC) or Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers, ensuring that our federal facilities are staffed with fully evaluated officers who meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. You will be responsible for interviewing candidates who have previously completed written personality assessments, which are administered by Calian Group Ltd. After your one-on-one interview, you will complete a template with your findings.
  2. In this role, you will perform the second part of a two-part assessment, comprising formal testing using MMPI-3 and 16PF, followed by a structured clinical interview.
  3. You will review and interpret the results of the testing and conduct the follow-up clinical interview, determining whether the candidate meets or does not meet the requirements of CSC or CBSA.
  4. You may also provide feedback on individual assessment results to candidates and defend psychological evaluations when required.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience providing assessments for public entities within the last 10 years.
  • At least 50 assessments for psychological readiness of candidates within the last 10 years.
  • A Ph.D. or Psy.D in Psychology is preferred; a Master's with the proper background is also acceptable.
  • Fully licensed for autonomous practice as a Psychologist in Ontario.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to conduct interviews with candidates in-person in a private office.
Work Arrangement

Casual contract with a flexible schedule based on client needs and Psychologist availability.

Work can be done on weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends.

Compensation Package

$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
