We are seeking an experienced and skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Toku Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional dining experiences.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of managing staff, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth. In addition to your operational expertise, you will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of food preparation staff, including portioning and serving food.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
  • Maintain quality control standards by regularly inspecting food and service, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their satisfaction with their dining experience.
  • Manage stock, repairs, sales, and wastage records, providing accurate reports to senior management.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance, supporting data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and other relevant technology.
