Criminology Instructor

We are seeking an experienced lecturer to teach one section of CRIM 135 Intro to Canadian Law and Legal Institutions: A Criminal Justice Perspective and/or CRIM 220 (Research Methods in Criminology) in the Spring semester.

• Prepare and deliver lectures on criminology-related topics
• Evaluate student learning and provide feedback
• Facilitate student learning and support student success
• Apply departmental norms for evaluating student learning in Criminology

• Doctoral degree in Criminology or a related discipline from an accredited university
• Experience teaching research methods courses using innovative teaching practices and technologies
• Demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate level
• Experience using a common learning management system, such as Desire2Learn, Blackboard, or Moodle

• Experience in teaching small classes in an inclusive institutional environment
• Recent experience in post-secondary teaching
