We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Sault Area Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in our Acute Medicine unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process and Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Provide health education to patients and their families.
- Make clinical decisions and exercise judgment to ensure the best possible nursing care is provided.
- Participate in the implementation and practice of a theory-based approach to nursing care.
- Comply with legislative, organizational, and departmental regulations, standards, and procedures related to occupational health and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
- Current certification in venipuncture.
- Niche, Pieces, or other similar geriatric nursing certification.
- Demonstrated clinical competency in the management and care of patients in the medical unit.
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment required for patient care.
- Computer literacy in a Microsoft environment.
- Knowledgeable in the care of geriatric patients.
