Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Transactions Specialist to join our team at Little Collins Holdings in Vancouver. This role will provide day-to-day transactional support for Acsenda School of Management (ASM) and assist the Senior Accountant with month-end and year-end closing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of invoices and documents, including supplier contracts and POs;
  • Code and enter invoices in the accounting system for payments and ensure correct approval, coding, and matching;
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions;
  • Process staff and travel expense reports and check for accuracy of employee reimbursement expenses before processing;
  • Oversee processing of student refund requests according to ASM policies and reconcile the student's financial records in the Student Management System;
  • Reconcile corporate credit card statements and associated expense reports/invoices/receipts;
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of suppliers and their contract details;
  • Initiate bank transactions for payment;
  • Oversee pre-authorized debit transactions, record transactions in the accounting system, and ensure that all relevant documents are verified and obtained;
  • Record payments in the accounting system and in the Student Management System (for student refunds);
  • Complete weekly bank reconciliations of operations bank accounts;
  • Monitor daily cash balance and ensure that the operations bank account has sufficient funds to cover upcoming payments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree;
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience, including AP and AR;
  • Experience using an accounting program, preferably SAGE ERP;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced skills in Excel;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a professional environment.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth and development within the company.
