We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Nurse Specialist in Oncology, you will play a critical role in delivering compassionate patient care and promoting health and well-being in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient assessment, education, and treatment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and implement nursing care services, including patient and family teaching, administration of chemotherapy, and health promotion activities.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate programs and services related to intravenous therapy, education, and support for patients and their families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare professionals and community partners.
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- CNA Oncology Certification or eligibility.
- Clinical experience in an Oncology/Outpatient Chemotherapy adult setting or 3 years Acute Care nursing experience in a specialty care Unit.
- British Columbia Cancer Agency Chemotherapy Certification or equivalent Chemotherapy certification from a recognized Cancer Agency.
