Investigator - Ombudsman Act

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investigator to join our team at the Manitoba Ombudsman. As an Investigator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that public bodies and institutions are held accountable for their actions and decisions.
About the Role:The Investigator will be responsible for conducting thorough and impartial investigations into complaints and allegations of wrongdoing. You will work closely with the Manager of Investigations to identify areas of concern and develop strategies for addressing them.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct investigations into complaints and allegations of wrongdoing
- Develop and implement strategies for addressing areas of concern
- Work closely with the Manager of Investigations to identify and prioritize areas of focus
- Prepare and present reports on findings and recommendations
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field (e.g. law, public administration, social sciences)
- Several years of experience in a related field, including investigation and compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
