Product Design Supervisor

Napoleon is a leading manufacturer of innovative home comfort products, and we're seeking a skilled Product Design Supervisor to lead our product design team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new and improved products that meet our company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences
- Develop and maintain a detailed product portfolio strategy and product roadmap
- Design and develop new products, including drafting specifications for components and assemblies
- Lead the creation of prototype models or samples and fine-tune designs through validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design for manufacture, design for service, and design for installation are optimized
- Manage design team to ensure timely completion of projects and meet production deadlines
- Ensure new product introductions meet WSL expectations for aesthetic appearance, consistent fit and finish, and robust operation
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-year college diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated work experience in a directly related industry
- Knowledge of material and manufacturing processes, as well as 3-D modeling software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
- Strong communication and leadership skills
