CBI Health Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Specialist to join our team in the Newmarket area.
About the Role:
As a Direct Support Specialist, you will provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, utilizing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)-based interventions in the home and community. You will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and Clinical and Operational Manager, receiving comprehensive training and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients with community involvement and independence to optimize their quality of life
- Assist and teach daily living activities, and life skills to promote self-esteem and well-being
- Document and report daily activities and progress
- Manage challenging behaviors and situations using CPI knowledge and principles
- Support clients with varied levels of personal care
- Assist with household activities and chores
What We Offer:
- Competitive wages ($20.50 per hour) with additional government wage enhancement

Requirements:
- Certificate from a related field, such as Diploma in Behavior Science, Developmental Service Worker (DSW), or Child and Youth Worker
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate

- Valid Class G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proven interpersonal and organizational skills
