Job Overview

This role involves conducting risk-based audits to ensure internal controls are effective, following up on audit recommendations, and planning audits to test the design and operating effectiveness of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (Sarbanes–Oxley 404 control testing).

You will assist business units in updating their documentation of risks and controls, partner with management to strengthen internal controls, and provide assurance over control design for key areas of change. Additionally, you will complete 40 hours of company-sponsored training to meet departmental standards.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk-based audits to ensure internal controls are effectively designed and operating as intended.
  • Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure corrective action has been taken.
  • Plan and execute audits to test the design and operating effectiveness of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (Sarbanes–Oxley 404 control testing).
  • Assist business units in updating their documentation of risks and controls.
  • Partner with management to develop opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve business processes.
  • Provide assurance over the design of controls for key areas of change prior to implementation.
  • Complete 40 hours of company-sponsored training in compliance with departmental professional standards.
  • Assist on special projects as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in internal or external auditing.
  • The ability to work effectively within an international team.
  • A willingness to adapt to change and multitask.
  • Strong analytical, written/oral communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
  • Attention to detail and effective organizational skills.
  • A drive to add value and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Prior experience with analytics/visualization software is an asset.
  • The ability to develop other team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Educational Background

An undergraduate business degree in finance, accounting, IT, or a related field is required. A willingness to work towards certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CPA is also desirable.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to balance remote and in-office work.
