About the Role

The Corporate Cyber Security & IT Compliance team at Brookfield Renewable is seeking a highly motivated Student IT Compliance to support the IT Compliance function in overseeing and executing the global SOX, IT Compliance, and Privacy program. As a Student IT Compliance, you will be responsible for the daily implementation of Corporate SOX, IT compliance, and Privacy program across our portfolio companies, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting successful execution of IT compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in conducting SOX Readiness assessments for newly acquired companies.
  • Participate in testing the effectiveness of IT General Controls and IT Application Controls.
  • Support the delivery of IT compliance assessments.
  • Support the execution of privacy assessments.
  • Conduct interviews and document meeting minutes.
  • Support enhancements to GRC system by gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Ensure that policies posted on corporate websites are up-to-date.
  • Other Compliance activities as the need may be.

Requirements

  • Working towards a degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and effectively manage time.
