Business System Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Business System Analyst to join our team at Brookfield Renewable Partners L.P.

About the Role

The Business System Analyst will be responsible for maintaining business processes and drafting system requirements. This role will support applications such as our GRC platform and M365 applications like SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure business applications to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, concise, and complete requirement lists.
  • Document and formalize existing processes.
  • Lead initiatives to expand and optimize the use of the GRC platform.
  • Follow up on feedback from global businesses and users to enhance application functionality.
  • Recommend changes to processes and propose alternative solutions to improve our processes.
  • Execute daily activities related to managing applications.
  • Create and maintain reference documentation for users.
  • Liaise with vendors and consultants.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in documenting business processes and system requirements.
  • Previous experience with GRC tools or similar tools is an asset.
  • Previous experience with supporting M365 applications.
  • Previous experience in compliance, risk management, or privacy is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and effectively manage time.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A good understanding of technical and non-technical concepts and ability to effectively communicate these concepts to various stakeholders.
