About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team at Motor Coach Industries as a Material Inventory Specialist. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for coordinating all materials functions within a designated cell/area on the production floor. This includes maintaining the accuracy of inventory in your designated area and ensuring that work center data is complete, accurate, and current.

You will play a critical role in communicating job schedules to shop floor personnel through the use of dispatch/Kanban techniques and monitoring production activities to maintain the integrity of the job order and inventory files.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all materials functions within a designated cell/area on the production floor.
  • Maintain the accuracy of inventory in your designated area.
  • Ensure work center data is complete, accurate, and current.
  • Communicate job schedules to shop floor personnel through the use of dispatch/Kanban techniques.
  • Monitor production activities to maintain the integrity of the job order and inventory files.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or inventory management role.
  • The ability to adapt to rapid change and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and strong keyboarding skills.
