**About the Role**

The Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Services Specialist to join their team. This full-time, 35-hour per week position offers a one-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.

As a Financial Planning Services Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering and growing insurance, risk, asset management, and financing planning services to CHF Canada members. You will evaluate, enhance, promote, negotiate, and report on these programs, as well as lead and provide expertise on organizational sustainability initiatives.

You will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, partners, staff, and consultants to ensure optimal awareness, access, and value of these services. Your role will involve working closely with internal staff, including Co-op Services and Planning staff, to coordinate service delivery to members, communications staff to ensure effective marketing and communication, and education services staff to enhance knowledge and value of insurance, sustainability, and long-term planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and enhance insurance, risk, asset management, and financing planning services to meet member needs
  • Negotiate terms of annual program renewals and changes to program coverages or policy terms
  • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal awareness, access, and value of services
  • Lead and provide expertise on organizational sustainability initiatives

**Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of financing and commercial lending requirements
  • Understanding and experience with asset management/capital planning and sustainability
  • Proficient in the use of common spreadsheet, database, and word-processing software
  • Accounting and budgeting experience
  • Working knowledge of group insurance programs (an asset)

**Benefits**

CHF Canada offers a comprehensive benefits package, including employer-paid premiums for Group Benefits, pension contributions, an annual wellness benefit, and a one-time hybrid allowance payment.

**Salary:** $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
