Job Title: Contract, Operations Analyst

The Contract, Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective business operations of the Stations department at Toronto Hydro. This position is responsible for gathering and analyzing data, conducting research, and preparing reports to support departmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and analyze business requirements.
  • Analyze large data sets and present recommendations for action through technical or business reports.
  • Assist in the coordination, delivery, and execution of projects.
  • Maintain and develop databases or decision support tools and systems.
  • Suggest and implement process enhancements to support departmental efficiency.
  • Assist in defining project scope, drafting business cases, and conducting feasibility studies.
  • Provide support to management and technology systems, including enterprise systems.
  • Stay current with industry developments and practices.
Requirements:
  • 2023 or 2024 graduate of a university degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • Knowledge of and experience in utility operations is an asset.
  • Proficient in data management and capable of extracting, querying, and analyzing large data sets.
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Alteryx, and/or SAP is an asset.
  • Experience with machine learning and neural network algorithms in practical applications is an asset.
  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced working knowledge in MS Excel, Project, Access, and Word.
  • Awareness of project management processes, principles, and methodologies.
  • Business and strategic thinking acumen.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the organization and externally.

Toronto Hydro offers a Hybrid Work Arrangement, allowing for remote work up to three days per week. Employees are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
