We are a fast-paced insurance brokerage in Canada, committed to providing exceptional service and support to our clients. As we continue to grow and expand our team, we are seeking highly motivated individuals to join us as Technical Service Representatives.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a career-driven individual to join our dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of our company. As a Technical Service Representative, you will be responsible for verifying information on new business applications, uploading documents to insurance carrier portals, and preparing client letters. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through extensive on-the-job training and professional development programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Application Processing: Verify information on new business applications to ensure risk fits internal guidelines.
  • Document Uploads: Upload new business and endorsement documents to insurance carrier portals.
  • Client Communications: Prepare and mail out client letters for new business and endorsements.
  • Technical Support: Contact help lines for company portals where issues arise and premium discrepancies exist.
  • Daily EDI Downloads and Invoicing: Perform daily EDI downloads and automatic invoicing.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Willingness to Learn: A willingness to learn and grow with our company, with a strong desire to develop your skills and knowledge in general insurance.
  • Education and Experience: Enrollment in an accredited college or university insurance education program is beneficial but not required. 1-2 years' experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager/CSR/TSR is preferred but not necessary.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office, and strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Knowledge of Power Broker and Applied Rating (Compu-Quote) is considered an asset but not a requirement.
