Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Manager to lead our Cloud Engineering and Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership

    Lead a team of senior technical professionals responsible for the engineering and operations of Moneris' Cloud infrastructure.

  • Cloud Engineering

    Collaborate with business, architecture, and development teams to design, implement, and maintain Cloud infrastructure technologies and solutions.

  • Technical Guidance

    Provide technical guidance and support for escalated incidents and problems, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal business impact.

  • Talent Development

    Grow and develop talent to help create high-performing teams and collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values.

  • DevOps Practices

    Advocate and advance modern, Agile software development practices and core DevOps behaviors to driver change across development and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

  • Managerial Experience

    5+ years of managerial experience in leading Cloud engineering, Cloud Operations or DevOps/SRE support teams.

  • Cloud Infrastructure

    Experience implementing and using Infrastructure as Code (GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, K8S, Terraform, Ansible).

  • Azure Expertise

    Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hands-on experience implementing Azure based solutions.

  • Agile Methodologies

    Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in cross-functional teams.

  • Communication Skills

    Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and make an impact in a cross-functional environment.

  • Education

    Bachelor's degree in software development or computer engineering required, or equivalent work experience.

  • Payment Systems

    Proficiency in payment systems and the merchant acquiring business is an asset.
