The Cloud Engineering and Operations Manager will oversee a team of experienced technical experts dedicated to the engineering and management of Moneris' Cloud infrastructure.
Location:
This position is based in a hybrid work model.
Reporting Structure:
The role reports directly to the Director of Cloud Infrastructure Architecture & Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of systems engineers responsible for the daily operations and 24/7 support of Moneris' Cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with business units, architecture, and development teams to design, implement, and sustain Cloud infrastructure technologies and solutions.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support for escalated incidents and issues, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Foster talent development to cultivate high-performing teams and a collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values.
- Promote and enhance modern, Agile software development practices and core DevOps principles to drive transformation across development and infrastructure teams.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in leading Cloud engineering, Cloud Operations, or DevOps/SRE support teams.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure with practical experience in implementing Azure-based solutions.
- Strong comprehension of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience in cross-functional team environments.
- Bachelor's degree in software development or computer engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of payment systems and the merchant acquiring industry is advantageous.
