- Analyze operating costs and other data to inform menu planning and inventory management decisions.
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu items that showcase our pastry expertise.
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, ensuring exceptional presentation and flavor.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked and organized kitchen.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
- 1-2 years of experience in a pastry or baking role.
- Strong leadership and initiative skills to drive innovation and excellence in our pastry program.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other kitchen staff.
- English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- 35 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed.
