The Employment Services department at Northern College is seeking an experienced Job Consultant/Developer to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering employment programs in the College catchment area, developing and implementing activities related to employment and training services, and providing case management support to job seekers.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, and will have a strong understanding of the local job market and community needs. Bilingualism is an asset, but not required. Job Details
  • Job Title: Job Consultant/Developer
  • Location: Timmins, ON
  • Salary: $36.31 per hour (2025)
  • Hours: Full-time (Leave Replacement)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, implement, and monitor employment programs and services
  • Conduct intake interviews to determine client eligibility and needs
  • Complete file documentation and obtain necessary identification
  • Assist clients in obtaining employment through coaching, mentoring, placement, and resource services

Requirements:

  • TWO-year diploma in Human Services or a related/relevant field
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Bilingualism is an asset
