Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at IPEX, a leading manufacturer of advanced plastic piping systems. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw materials into high-quality gaskets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.

• Ensure accurate temperature control of moulds to achieve optimal splicing results.

• Prepare rubber strips for splicing by performing tasks such as dipping, sanding, heating, and cleaning.

• Verify the quality of rubber strips before splicing, ensuring straight cuts and clean ends.

• Load tape rolls into tape machines and inspect gaskets for defects.

• Insert splicing tape between gasket ends and close moulds for curing.

• Remove gaskets, inspect for cracks, and inject silicone for added durability.

• Break splice seals using pneumatic anvils and pack finished gaskets for shipping.

• Document and record production data, ensuring accurate reporting and quality control.

Working Conditions:

• This role requires almost 100% of time spent in the plant environment, involving light physical labor, lifting, and standing.

• Personal safety is paramount, with exposure to heat and light press equipment.

Requirements:

• Excellent attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills are essential.

• Safety-conscious individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent are preferred.

• Basic English language skills are required, with the ability to read, write, and speak effectively.

Benefits:

HOURLY RATE: $ + shift premium of 5% of the employee's regular rate for each hour worked on this shift.

SHIFT PREMIUM: 5% of the employee's regular rate for each hour worked on this shift.

HEALTH INSURANCE: Fully covered by employer.
