Job Title: Mechanic Helper

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic Helper to join our team at Foothills Truck & Trailer Service Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Mechanic Helper will assist our experienced technicians in performing routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers. This is a physically demanding role that requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist technicians with routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials
Requirements:
  • Physically demanding role requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Handling heavy loads up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
  • Steel-toed safety boots required
Work Environment:

The work environment is dusty, and the role requires working under pressure. The successful candidate will be a team player who is willing to learn and take direction.
