Job Summary

The Cash Application Coordinator is responsible for accurately and promptly applying payments to customers' accounts and ensuring that all payment adjustments are processed to keep accounts current. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply payments accurately and promptly to customers' accounts
  • Process payment adjustments and ensure accounts are current
  • Perform daily reporting on invoicing and cash application activities
  • Monitor emails and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with internal teams and departments to resolve issues and answer questions
  • Work with the Analyst, Credit and Deductions to maintain goals and general A/R performance levels
  • Streamline the exchange of information with customers using technologies such as EDI and web portals
  • Investigate and assist in resolving billing discrepancies or misapplied cash transactions

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is an asset
  • Experience with Cash Application is an asset
  • Experience with J.D Edwards Enterprise One is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
