Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Planner to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As an Environmental Planner, you will play a key role in contributing to environmental assessments, coordinating regulatory permit applications, and developing public consultation programs.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to environmental assessments for various projects, including oil and gas pipelines, transmission lines, and roads.
  • Coordinate environmental regulatory permit applications and support environmental management planning.
  • Develop and coordinate public and agency consultation programs.
  • Liaise with private sector clients and contribute to business development activities.
  • Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.
Requirements
  • A university degree in environmental studies, planning, geography, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the consulting industry.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong communication, report writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in provincial and federal environmental assessments for utility and linear development projects.
  • Understanding of Canadian EA methods, requirements, and legislation.
  • Experience or familiarity with socio-economic and GBA+ impact assessments.
