Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Hardware Associate PT to join our team at Otter Co-op's Retail Centre in Langley, BC.

About the Role:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Stock shelves with merchandise, maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Utilize product knowledge to promote sales and drive business growth.
  • Operate a forklift, if required, and contribute to the team's efforts in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including contributing to the construction and maintenance of seasonal displays.

Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse experience is an asset.
  • Previous DIY home reno/repair experience in building supplies and/or gardening/landscape is an asset.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to take and maintain the Forklift Certification.
  • Must be committed to a SAFE working environment.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have open availability and be able to work days, evenings, and weekends, with a preference for candidates available Monday-Friday day shifts.
