Job Description:

As a key member of the Indian Spice team, the Executive Culinary Leader will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurants. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide a team of cooks and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze operating costs and other data to inform menu engineering and kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Supervise kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and manage inventory to minimize waste and excess.
  • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities to meet operational demands.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, including food safety and presentation.
  • Recruit and hire staff to support kitchen operations.
  • Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth event execution and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and inform menu engineering and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
