Team Member Opportunity

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our community stroke rehabilitation team. Reporting to the Manager of Rehabilitation and Grey Bruce District Stroke Services, this role is responsible for providing speech and language services to stroke survivors within designated boundaries.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language services to referred stroke survivors.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and caregivers to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Conduct clinical assessments of swallowing and cognitive impairment.
  • Provide education and training for healthcare professionals, caregivers, and families on stroke rehabilitation best practices.
  • Participate in an interprofessional team to deliver innovative rehabilitation services to stroke survivors and their caregivers.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the College of Audiologists and Speech and Language Pathologists of Ontario.
  • Master's degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Clinical expertise and experience in stroke rehabilitation, including dysphagia management.
  • Experience in clinical assessment of swallowing and working in a community setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an interprofessional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ADP Authorizer.
