About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Control Manager to join our team at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial control structures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements and control enhancements.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of financial analysts and control specialists.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • CPA/CA designation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial control, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments, complex transactions, and regulatory requirements.
