Senior Engineering Manager, Infrastructure Expert

The RoleWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Infrastructure Engineering team. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for mentoring, growing, and empowering your team to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our customers and developers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Infrastructure Engineering team to design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure that powers our platform.
- Partner with peer organizations to ensure that their infrastructure needs are met, leveraging Platform-as-a-Service experience.
- Develop and implement metrics, tools, and practices to ensure the team is delivering significant business impact.
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to team members to ensure their growth and development.
- Align technical direction with overall engineering strategy and top business goals at Carta.
- Recruit and hire top talent to help build and grow Carta's infrastructure posture.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record of leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring geographically distributed teams. You should have experience writing production-quality code in a major programming language, such as Python, Java, or Go. Additionally, you should have a deep understanding of Linux, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, and experience with service mesh architecture is a plus.
