We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at ApplyBoard. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our product development and the entire organization.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining analytics with Python, including utilizing libraries such as pandas and pyspark. They will also build and maintain ETL pipelines on AWS, using EC2, Glue ETLs, and Airflow. In addition, they will build and maintain infrastructure components to support our pipelines and integrations using CDK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-quality, scalable, and maintainable data infrastructure solutions.
  • Become an expert in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and leverage its capabilities to drive business growth.
  • Develop and maintain complex ETL workflows using tools like Apache Beam or AWS Glue.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, IT, and Security, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of data-related systems.
  • Maintain and improve our Redshift cluster and monitor data pipelines to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to help them grow professionally.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure and architecture.
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data systems.
  • Expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and Redshift.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and system design principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
