Job Summary

At YPP Associates P.C., we are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our litigation department, you will be responsible for providing support to our lawyers in the preparation and presentation of cases. This includes advising clients on legal proceedings, taking legal action on landlord and tenant matters, and preparing legal documents such as wills, real estate transactions, and court reports.

Responsibilities

- Advise clients on legal proceedings and represent them in small claims court and other lower court proceedings
- Prepare legal documents, including wills, real estate transactions, and court reports
- Take legal action on landlord and tenant matters
- Supervise professional, para-legal and support staff and articling students

Requirements

- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in civil litigation
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
