About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Education Support Specialist to join our team at Heroes' Memorial Elementary School in Cowansville, Quebec. This full-time position involves working with a multidisciplinary team to apply special education techniques and methods in keeping with individualized education plans for students with diverse needs.



Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with the school principal and multidisciplinary team to develop and implement intervention plans that support student success
  • Design and lead educational activities that promote social, cognitive, and communication skills in students with special needs
  • Provide individualized support to students in their learning and autonomy development
  • Maintain accurate records of student observations and interventions, and communicate regularly with parents and teachers
  • Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including youth protection agencies, as needed
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in special education


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:




  • A Diploma of College Studies in Special Care Counselling or a recognized equivalent
  • Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken)
  • A valid certificate in standard first aid, updated within the past three years


Compensation Package
