About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Development Specialist to join our team at Trinity Western University. As a key member of our Centre for Calling & Career Development (CCCD), you will play a vital role in supporting international students and students engaging in work-integrated learning experiences to ensure they are life and career ready.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver group and individual resume building and interview preparation workshops and coaching sessions.
  • Provide one-on-one career coaching and career development support to students.
  • Assist international students with career development, career transition, job search, and other career challenges.
  • Coordinate logistics for events such as workshops, webinars, hiring fairs, and other career-related activities.
  • Stay informed about key international student trends, labour market issues, and connect students with relevant service providers.
  • Coordinate forms and processes for experiential learning opportunities such as internships and co-ops.
  • Participate in larger career education initiatives, collaborating with the CCCD team and providing support as needed.
  • Liaise with international support staff across campus, including the International Student Support Committee (ISSC).
  • Build relationships with employers in the community to support students in gaining employment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for liberal arts.
  • Certified Leadership/Career/Life Coach certification is an asset.
  • Experience working with immigrant, refugee, or international students is preferred.
