Your Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled French to English Translator to join our Translation and Linguistic Services team in Montreal. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Translating various Accounting and Assurance documents, including financial reports and tax articles;
  • Translating service offers and documents for Marketing, Human Resources, Payroll, and other departments;
  • Providing linguistic advice and conducting terminology research;
  • Understanding and following the firm's work methods and terminology to ensure consistent quality of translations;
  • Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Translation;
  • Practical translation experience (minimum of five years' experience required), preferably in the financial or accounting sector;
  • Project management skills;
  • Strong knowledge of computer-assisted translation software (SDL Trados Studio) and terminology databases;
  • Bilingualism (French and English, both written and spoken);
  • Knowledge of Accounting and Assurance terminology currently used by members of the profession and CPA Canada (an asset);
  • Professionalism with a strong emphasis on teamwork and client service;
  • Membership in OTTIAQ (an asset).
