We are a dynamic food service company seeking an experienced and skilled Food Service Team Lead to join our team.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality customer service.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules, train staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and ensure compliance with quality control standards.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements, hire food service staff, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit reports, addressing customers' complaints or concerns, and maintaining a positive working relationship with staff.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, and promoting a culture of security and accountability among team members.
- Work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies that drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall dining experience.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in a related field, such as hospitality or business administration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff towards achieving organizational goals.
- A strong understanding of quality control principles, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using technology, including point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and other relevant tools.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
