Electrical Engineering Lead for Power Conversion Solutions

DRS Pivotal Power, a leading developer and manufacturer of high reliability power conversion equipment, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering Lead to join its team.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing complex mixed-signal, multi-layer SMT and thru-hole printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Altium Designer.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Schematics Design: Enter schematics into the design software and create part library files as required.
  • Layout Optimization: Layout and optimize components and circuits to minimize design and production costs while adhering to design requirements.
  • Component Management: Maintain the component parts library and support program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior and intermediate PCB designers to achieve program goals and timelines.
  • Documentation: Generate associated documentation to assist with design configuration management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree: Engineering graduate from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years' experience in the design and development of printed wiring boards using Altium Designer or a comparable design program.
  • Analog and Digital Layout: Analog and digital layout experience, especially with respect to high power electronics and modern component technologies.
  • Strong Analytical and Creativity Capabilities: Strong analytical and creativity capabilities, with a record of delivering cost-effective and reliable designs within schedule and budget.
