Job Summary:
The Process Engineer will provide technical process support to ensure process capability and reliability on the shop floor. This role will identify and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to achieve or exceed performance targets, improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and productivity while reducing cost and waste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Process Support: Provide day-to-day technical process support to ensure process capability and reliability on the shop floor.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive CI projects to achieve or exceed performance targets, improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and productivity while reducing cost and waste.
- Health and Safety: Monitor and ensure Health & Safety, HACCP, and SQF compliance.
- Reporting and Communication: Report out using established forms to peers and managers as required, ensure routine communications sessions take place with the shop floor, and communicate project updates verbally and in a presentation format.
- Training: Support team members' training on cGMPs, Food Safety, and Quality procedures, and ensure own training is maintained according to the system schedule.
Requirements:
- Education: Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Diploma or Degree preferred.
- Experience: Knowledge of injection molding and thermoforming manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing tools and applications.
- Skills: Project management skills, effective planning and organizational skills, strong interpersonal and people management skills, ability to effectively coach, manage, and support team members.
