About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in a hospital setting. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing direct pharmaceutical care to inpatients and outpatients. This includes patient counseling, medication monitoring, student mentoring, drug utilization reviews, and liaison with community pharmacists.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital pharmacy practice, with a focus on patient safety and medication therapy. You will be expected to participate in clinical pharmacy research and education, and to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is a graduate of a recognized School of Pharmacy, eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists, and has a strong commitment to lifelong learning. You will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, with a focus on direct patient care. You will also have a strong teaching ability, experience in critical appraisal of scientific literature, and excellent communication skills.

Hours

This is a long-assignment, full-time position with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. The successful candidate will be expected to work approximately 1 year.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $43.67 - $53.24. The successful candidate may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
