Job Title: Postal Service Representative

The Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a Part-time Postal Service Representative to manage the Canada Post counter at the store. The representative will report into the Front Store Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and sales support to guarantee total customer satisfaction.
  • Operate a computerized point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of postal products, services, and delivery.
  • Process financial transactions (cash, cheques, debit & credit card payments).
  • Address client inquiries and concerns about postal services.
  • Ensure the postal service facility is tidy and orderly, projecting a respectable image to the public.
  • Cross-sell and promote postal services and promotions to all consumers.
  • Implement loss prevention practices in accordance with shop policy.
  • Control the inventory of cash, money orders, and stamps in compliance with established cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the security of cash and mail.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in customer service in a retail environment is an asset.
  • Sales experience is an asset.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-versed in working on computer.
  • Register Skills.
  • Organized and detailed oriented.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing customer service.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladder.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts which may include weekends.
