Account Manager

We're seeking a talented professional to join our team as an Account Manager. As a key member of our global team, you'll be responsible for developing and executing business strategies to drive growth and maximize sales targets for our Sobeys and Costco business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with National Account Managers to develop customer plans, presentations, and customer programs to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Analyze data from various sources, including customer sales reports, Nielsen data, and market trends, to identify opportunities for growth and develop insights to inform business decisions.
  • Support internal and external forecasting capabilities to improve in-stock position and forecast accuracy, and draft sales forecasts for production.
  • Effectively manage trade spend budgets based on account objectives.
  • Develop and support tools, promotions, and sell sheets for execution in the field for Freshco and Costco West, and maintain and develop business relationships with existing clients.
  • Facilitate internal teams to ensure successful execution of customer programs and opportunities.
  • Draft detailed action plans to attain sales and profit targets based on a solid understanding of customer needs and business opportunities.
  • Work with Commercial Planning to understand and execute support for the launch of new products into Freshco and Costco West banners.
  • Assist with the development of deal and cost sheets, listing forms, and deductions.
  • Prepare presentations, business reviews, and sales reports to identify areas for improvement and business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration.
  • Three to five years of experience in sales.

Competencies:

  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, interacting well with multiple departments as required.
  • Excellent time management and priority setting.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Leadership.
  • Result-oriented.
  • Must own a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, with a clean driver's abstract.
  • 20% travel required.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
