**About the Role**

The Kindergarten Readiness Coordinator will implement and coordinate Kindergarten readiness initiatives for Bimose Tribal Council community schools under the supervision of the Education Partnership Coordinator.

This role requires organizing, planning, and executing program goals and objectives with an emphasis on families and community collaborations/partnerships to achieve 100% academic preparedness for Kindergarten.

  • Develop a detailed timeline of activities based on program goals at each center.
  • Interface with community partners and public agencies to promote services.
  • Establish strong referral relationships.
  • Design strategies to encourage active participation by parents, providers, and the community to ensure preventive and support services for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with preschool staff to integrate programs promoting Kindergarten readiness.
  • Represent Kindergarten readiness sites at policy-making and program development levels (district, city, regional, state).
  • Maintain records; review reports from participating agencies.
  • Conduct needs assessments for services and support for children ages 0-5.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Five years' experience working in school systems or in conjunction with them.
  • Experience with early childhood education and/or development.
  • Understanding of Early Childhood Education programs.
  • Criminal Records Check including a Vulnerable Persons check.
